Mini beast hunt…Children are beginning to work out which mini beast is which by looking closely and noticing characteristics and differences. A fantastic way to get children talking as they are always excited to share what they have found
​Children developing body awareness whilst  practicing balancing and coordination skills, a good foundation for functioning effectively in many everyday tasks
​Large scale Mark making outside allows children to practice their muscle dexterity and fine motor skills without an outcome in mind. A therapeutic outlet in its rawest of forms which promotes  emotional well-being
​Children enjoy many resources which have a range of health benefits including cardiovascular fitness, increased muscle strength and flexibility, joint mobility, and decreased stress levels
Preschool offers physical activities both inside and out.
Staff transport indoor learning to the outdoors whenever possible.
Water play provides many rich and valuable experiences to develop knowledge, creativity, and imagination

​Staff promote independence, enabling children to gain first hand knowledge and letting them learn through trial and error giving them the confidence to face future challenges

​Messy Play

​Preschool provides many tactile experiences though  diverse  messy play activities using  a range of materials.
This encourages exploration, promoting children’s language, creativity, and social  skills.
​Staff support children’s imaginative skills allowing them to express their thoughts and feelings whilst  exploring the world in which they live.
Children are exploring  different occupations, lifestyles and cultures through a range of activities. Children love to dress up our role play area is always busy
We welcome visitors from the wider community such as from the fire and police service, nurses, farmers, cooks and more. Our parents also are encouraged to share  their  hobbies and skills with the children

Forest School

​Our forest school reconnects children with nature, offering many learning opportunities across all areas of the EYFS. This is a specialised learning approach, allowing learners freedom to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands on learning activities
​Children engage in a variety of adult led activities where they will be developing and enhancing social skills and concepts whilst developing their language

Out of School Clubs

Play is important to a child’s development; it helps to nurture children’s imagination and self-expression. At Afterschool club children choose their own activities supported by experienced childcare staff

​Our after-school club offers children a way to connect with their peers in a different setting. Staff promote children’s independence, cooperation, support and respect, giving our  children  a sense of belonging
